Renggis Island is just a short boat ride from the main island of Tioman. By snorkeling around the island, snorkelers can expect some of the best coral in Tioman and is perfect for snorkelers as plenty of colourful marine life can be seen, even in the shallow waters. We have been thinking where to spend our short vacation for some time and finally we come to a conclusion to visit a nearby island, Pulau Tioman. We bought the tour package from Holidaygogogo Tours Sdn Bhd in which the package includes ferry ticket, accommodation, meals and snorkeling trip, this all inclusive package cost only RM385 per person!

Day 1

We leave our home in Seremban at around 8am in the morning and the journey takes about 5 hours to reach to the coastal town of Mersing. On arrival at Mersing Jetty,  our first thing is to locate the resort office and collect our ferry voucher. The lady (in red) in the office is friendly, she spent about 15 minutes to explain the program flow for our 3d2n holiday in Tioman.

After the registration is done, we decided to fill up our stomach at one of the food stalls in the jetty complex. There are not many food choices here but is good enough for us to fill up our stomach. We ordered chicken rice as our lunch.

After lunch, since there are still some time to spare, so we walk around near the jetty and snap some photos.

After a short exploration around Mersing Jetty, we proceed to ferry ticket counter at the jetty to collect our ferry tickets and pay for the Marine Park Fee and Johor National Park Fee (RM10 per person). Please also note that foreign visitors pay RM25 per person for these fees and it is compulsory even if you dont visit the Marine Park Center.

Inside the ferry, it is comfortable and airconditioned, life jacket is provided at the overhead compartment.

The journey from Mersing to Tioman takes about 90 minutes, upon arrival at Tioman (Genting Village), we proceed to Sun Beach Resort reception for check in. The sea journey is a smooth one, i believe it is due to shiny weather on that day.

This is where we are staying, Sun Beach Resort! We are staying in the beach front Standard Chalet (on the left hand side). There are only a limited unit of beach front standard chalet available in the resort, but we managed to get it as the occupancy rate is not that high during that day, probably it is due to the fasting month.

This is the other side of the beach, where the Blue Ocean Suite located. According to the staff, the Blue Ocean Suite is newly built and it is the highest range of room category in Sun Beach Resort. Even though we are not staying in this suite, but the staff allow us to take some photos within the suite. The suite is with 2 bedrooms, suitable for family vacation or friends gathering.

On the other hand, this is how our chalet looks like. A basic room setting but clean and comfortable. The best of all is we are staying close to the sea!

Dinner Time! Many food choices and tasty! There are not many visitors at the time of our visit, probably it is still early.

After dinner, we walk around the resort to fill up the gap of our free time.

After a short walk, we go back to the room and rest early. Both of us looking forward for the snorkeling trip in day 2!

Day 2:

Wake up at around 6am in the morning and it is a good day with fresh air.

Our breakfast in the resort cafe, did not really count on it, but i think there are 10-15 choices on the long table.

After breakfast, we proceed to rent the snorkeling equipment and life jacket from the snorkeling center. The snorkeling mask cost RM10 per set and the life jacket cost RM8. You may consider to rent a fin too but in my opinion it is not recommended to do so as you may potentially damage the coral if hit it accidentally with the fin.

After collected all the necessary equipment, we are then proceed with the outing to the sea for snorkeling.

The beautiful underwater world in Renggis Island! Swimming together with the colourful fishes. The water here is quite clear and not that deep, but yet still manage to see plenty of colourful fishes.

Our next snorkeling point is in Tioman Marine Park.

After the snorkeling trip, our next station is to visit the largest duty free in Tioman, the Vision Commerce Duty Free Shop in Tekek Village.

After the duty free shopping, that ended our day 2 program as organized by the resort. As soon as we reached the resort and kept our belongings in the room, we take a leisure walk at the nearby beach.

Dinner time! Tonight, we are taking BBQ dinner, the choices are plenty and it taste delicious, especially the BBQ squids.

After dinner, it is my photo shooting time again!

Day 3

Another perfect day with perfect weather!

Our breakfast and it seems like we are eating a lot in this 3 days trip in Tioman.

Since our return time is scheduled in the afternoon, so we decided to walk around the beach and snap some photos.

Before the ferry arrive, we have our lunch in one of the nearby food stalls.

Our ferry back to Mersing, this marks the end of our 3d2n holiday in Tioman Sun Beach Resort, we will be back again!
